How will they be earned?
During the second half of this course, we will explore poetic devices used as well as apply active reading strategies to the poems we explore. You will also earn RS.ST.02.01 by performing the plays we choose.
How will they be earned?
This will largely be earned in the second section of the class, when we get to poetry. You will also be earning the first standard above while performing the plays. The second standard listed above will be available in learning the elements of plays and the elements of poetry.
How will they be earned?
You will be able to learn this by analyzing each other's plays, and group conversations about the plays we perform, as well as with poetry. The second standard will be the driving force behind the play and monologue you create. The third standard above will be earned through our play rehearsal and published poetry exploration.
How will they be earned?
You will give a storyboard which will identify the story elements as used in your created play. The second standard will be earned in charades, the improv acting games, as well as in audience reflection of peer's plays they create and perform as well as analyzing the poetry we encounter. The last standard listed above will be earned through poetry and play performance.

Creation of your poetry, monologue, along with drafts and feedback
How will they be earned?
You will be following the class layout and utilizing the elements taught in order to create your sample poem, play, and monologue.

Proficient practice and presentation/performance of poetry, play, and monologue you will give

There will be multiple opportunities for this: feedback during practice, feedback after presentations, and explicit sessions provided for feedback.
